The answer to this question is found in the descriptive words of Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:18-20..." Then Jesus came and said to them, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
It is not only our commission, but it is our privilege to evangelize the Americas and the World for Jesus Christ. In Matthew 28:18-20 we read of Jesus' charge to His committed followers: "Go and make disciples ... teaching them how to obey everything I have commanded you." Often the element of teaching is misplaced or overlooked. After someone has accepted Christ as his Savior and been baptized in the faith to be identified as a disciple of Jesus, there remains so very much work to be done. We must come alongside and instruct those who are young in the faith, so they will then be able to live out the gospel. They must be equipped to share the gospel and to disciple others, too. Both baptizing and training disciples were set out to be a way of life. Our Christian Theological Seminary exists to assist in discipleship training, "as a way of life", as a true witness and as one called to a special part of His Ministry.
The Apostle Paul told his son in the faith in II Timothy 2:15.... Give diligence to present yourself approved unto God, a worker that needs not to be ashamed, handling right the word of truth
He also instructed him in II Timothy 2:2...And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also
Of truth, our Lord was born to die and to purchase our eternal salvation through His death on the cross...Luke 19:10. He established His Church to administrate His Word and Ministry. Therefore, Christian discipleship and ministry was to be a way of life for each Born-again Believer in Jesus Christ. Paul penned specific words of direction to the Corinthian believers...that our Lord has given the church the Ministry of Reconciling the WORLD back to God...that we are Ambassadors for Christ. The Master told His disciples...Peace be unto you...as my Father hath sent me, so send I you...John 20:21...So let us go together to sow the precious seed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
